Tarac Technologies Pty Ltd is a 100% owned subsidiary of Tarac Australia Limited. Tarac Australia has revenues in excess of AUD20 million.

Tarac is committed to the research and development of technology applied to transforming wine residuals such as grape marc (skins & seeds) and other winemaking residuals into commercially valuable products. In 1999 Tarac Technologies constructed a modern production facility at Nuriootpa in the Barossa Valley, South Australia, which incorporates state-of-the-art extraction technology.

Considered by industry to be at the leading edge, this plant recovers tannins and red colour from the skins of red grape marc, and extracts from the seeds of both red and white grape marc.

Tarac is building on its established position as the major supplier of grape alcohol and tartaric acid to the wine industry,by expanding its product range to include GrapEX™ natural grape tannins and OakEX™ natural oak alternatives.

Vinlife® natural grape extracts, also a Tarac brand, was developed to represent ingredients specifically for the global food & beverage industries.
