TPR – Successful Trial Results Released

Tarac Technologies participated in a trial managed by Coomandook Agricultural Bureau with support from the SA Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resources Management Board and funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme.

Tarac supplied TPR soil conditioner as one of the inputs for the trial which investigated ways to improve productivity of deep sandy water repellent soils.

The trial included working the soil with a Mouldboard plough versus Spading and the inputs included aged pig manure, composted pig manure, cereal straw, triticale silage, vetch hay, TPR and DAP fertiliser.

Crops planted in successive years were Commander barley, Lupins & Mace wheat.

As illustrated on page 27 of the report (click on the link below to view the report), when costs for all organic matter inputs are equalised TPR returned the highest profit per hectare over the duration of the trial.

Cost of freight and application are highly variable factors but the improvements in production year on year speak volumes about the merits of TPR.

Please have a read of the full report posted on the Tarac website and give me a call if you have any questions or when you are ready to place an order.
